On International Women’s Day 2015, the women of South Sudan speak out:  “As the women of South Sudan, we abhor tribalism and the division it causes. We therefore call upon all the women of South Sudan from all walks of life to forge a common agenda for peace.”
In a statement on their website, the women of the Episcopal Church of Sudan & South Sudan (ECSSS) say:

Anglican representatives from across South Asia met in Colombo, Sri Lanka, to discuss regional priorities for development, relief and advocacy, and how they can support each other in their work. 

Sunday 8^th March 2015 marks International Women’s Day, when communities worldwide will celebrate the role of women in society and call on world leaders to take action for women’s empowerment and gender equality.

Delegates at the Anglican Alliance’s first Lusophone meeting in Recife, Brazil, made this declaration, committing to building relationships and sharing knowledge across the Anglican Communion.

Revd Eliane Vieira leads women’s economic empowerment initiatives in Caaporã, Brazil, for some of the poorest women in her local community, whilst Recife Cathedral’s youth ministry is collaborating with dioceses nationwide to hold a National Youth Gathering in September 2015.

Anglicans gathered with other faith leaders in London this week to discuss how we can work collaboratively to end sexual violence in conflict. A webinar on Wednesday 11 February shared discussions with the rest of the Anglican Communion and invited thoughts on the issue.
