What we do
The Anglican Alliance exists to connect, equip and inspire the worldwide Anglican family to work for a world free of poverty and injustice and to safeguard creation.
We tackle this ambitious agenda in several interconnected ways, determined through global and regional consultations.
Currently, our priority work areas are:
- Resilience and disaster response
- Thriving communities
- Safeguarding creation
- People on the move – migrants, refugees and human trafficking
- Tackling inequalities
The graphic depicts our core vision (centre), our priority work areas (outer ring) and the cross-cutting approaches we use to realise our vision in all our areas of work (middle ring).
“During my time as Executive Director, we became ever more aware of how interconnected our priority work areas are. For example, climate change is leading to more disasters, forcing people (and especially young people) to migrate, making them more vulnerable to exploitation and trafficking. The boundaries between issues are porous. We have increasingly seen inequality, vulnerability and injustice as common denominators of the different areas we work on. Consequently, the importance of building resilience and tackling inequalities has become ever more apparent.”
