Goal
To make clean water more accessible for our communities by providing wells as constant sources of clean water in the community.
Activity
We are drilling wells and building pumps in communities that previously had no immediate access clean water so that everyone has free access to whenever they need it.
Outcomes
The time it takes to get water daily is dramatically reduced. This is liberating, especially to women who previously spent much time walking to distant water sources to collect water for their families. Now they have more time to do other things and may be able to choose what they want to do with their time.
It has reduced the incidence of waterborne diseases because our communities now have convenient access to clean water and do not need to resort to using stagnant, dirty water.
Our children are healthier and happier and have more time for learning and playing as they no longer need to spend so much time fetching water.
