Goal

Our objective is to protect and nurture abandoned babies, left out on the streets or victims of ill treatment at home.

Activity

In this home abandoned babies, picked up from the streets, are taken into care. They are feed, clothed and have a place to sleep.

The authorities are informed about the incoming babies and after one year they are taken to child protection services to initiate adoption processes. Likewise babies that suffer bad treatment are also taken for short periods of time and after returned to their families.

Outcomes

ADDRO started this project 20 years ago. Since then hundreds of babies that did not have any place to stay or were dramatically at risk on the streets have been taken into care.

Relatives of the babies have been also involved in order to modify damaging traditional practices for babies.
