The Anglican Church of Uganda is working with the Ugandan government and health partners to actively fight malaria and call for ‘Malaria Free Families’ by 2020.
Malaria Free Families 2020 is a six year campaign launched by the Archbishop on 22nd April 2014. The campaign looks at pulling together different stakeholders to raise awareness and build a platform for engagement at national level. It also provides an advocacy platform for quick action to eliminate malaria by 2020, with a focus on family life and building synergies for change.
Malaria Free Families 2020 has been launched at diocesan levels with participation from the diocesan bishops. The programme has a Facebook page at Church of Uganda Malaria Reduction Programme.
