Freedom Year 2018: December

Focus on: Latin America and the Caribbean

This month churches in Latin America and the Caribbean will be sharing their experiences on working to end modern slavery and human trafficking.

Prayer Points

  • Please pray for protection, strength and support for those being trafficked across Latin America and the Caribbean.
  • Pray that those living in the region would be more aware of the signs and feel empowered to investigate and respond.
  • Pray also for traffickers: for a change of heart and a turning towards the Lord.

Activities

International Day for the Abolition of Slavery

On 2 December 2018 we’ll be marking the International Day for the Abolition of Slavery.  This is another opportunity to engage your church in marking Freedom Sunday and spend some time raising awareness on human trafficking and modern slavery

Thank You

Thank you for joining us on this journey to discover more about human trafficking and modern slavery, and for taking part in a year of prayer, advocacy and action to end it.

Throughout this year we have been looking at different regions in the Anglican Communion and how churches in these regions are responding to human trafficking.

Our journey does not end here! Please join the Anglican Alliance in 2019 as we continue to tackle human trafficking and modern slavery.
