Goal
Improve agricultural sustainability by increasing access to information and markets.
Activity
Use of mobile phone technology to provide information to farmers about weather conditions so that they can decide what crops to plant to maximise their production.
Also providing information about local market conditions so that they can make decisions about taking their crops to market to get the best prices.
Outcomes
The project is still in its early stages, but it has networked with weather forecasters and a number of local farmers. There has also been training for the local farmers.
