Goal
The City of God Bible Art Mural Project brings together the Anglican Parish of Christ the King in the City of God in Rio de Janeiro, international mural artist Joel Bergner and local people.
Activity
In 2010 and 2011 we produced murals of the Garden of Eden, the Last Supper and the New Jerusalem. In 2013 the project took to the streets to produce two murals for Prophets’ Square and Easter Square.
Representatives of four local organizations – young and old – work with church members on the project – Alfazendo, St. Anne’s House (Casa de Santa Ana), The Seed of Life Association (ASVI) and the Cultural Centre for Education and Citizenship (CEACC).
