Prayer room - May
Welcome to our prayer room. We invite you to spend a few minutes praying with us for…
Current and ongoing situations across the world:
Including…
- The many places where violence and conflict continue to destroy lives, livelihoods, communities and habitats, especially remembering Gaza and the West Bank, Sudan, South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Pray for the people of the world
This month’s focus area of work:
Tackling inequalities
- Please pray for all communities facing rapid- or slow-onset disasters such as floods, droughts, wildfire, storms or famine.
- Pray for courage and resilience in the face of overwhelming challenges and for churches to respond well, even while experiencing the disaster themselves.
- Pray for those on the Resilience Course and for our Partners in Resilience and Response initiative.
- Please pray for Nicholas Pande as he leads this area of the Anglican Alliance’s work.
- Find out more about our resilience and disaster response work here.
This month’s focus partner:
Episcopal Relief & Development (USA)
Episcopal Relief & Development partner with locally-led organizations to advance lasting change in communities impacted by injustice, poverty, disaster and climate change.
Our approach is purpose-driven, grounded in compassion and respectful of the dignity of all people.
We focus on four interconnected priorities: early childhood development, women and girls, climate resilience and disaster response.

The reflection for Pentecost is set against a hymn recorded in the Solomon Islands, which from a UK perspective is about as far to the other end of the earth as you can go, but where Christians also sing of the gospel reaching earth’s furthest shores.
