Here in Belize we are reaching out with a number of schools programs. Our ‘Empowerment for All’ HIV and AIDS program works to increase the knowledge and skills of teachers, promote school environments which promote non-discrimination, and increase the availability of information and knowledge of HIV/AIDS issues among students and parents. Our Anglican Management Literacy Enhancement Committee equips teachers with guidance and professional development in teaching Language Arts. We also have feeding programs in 18 of our 22 schools to ensure children get at least one nutritious meal per day.
