Goal

To equip worshipping communities, schools and agencies with the tools to speak about the sustainability of food in a faith based manner.

Activity

A four week resource (consisting of bible study, worship resources, children’s resources) which linked food to each of the following aspects of sustainability: environmental, social, cultural, fiscal. The resources were informed by the lectionary reading for that day – these overwhelmingly celebrated food.

Outcomes

An increased awareness on issues relating to food and sustainability.

Strengths

Engagement with a large amount of parishes (21) and schools (5) and agencies (2) and dioceses (3). Relevant to a secular audience.
