THE ANGLICAN ALLIANCE BRINGS TOGETHER THOSE IN THE ANGLICAN FAMILY OF CHURCHES AND AGENCIES TO WORK FOR A WORLD FREE OF POVERTY AND INJUSTICE, TO BE A VOICE FOR THE VOICELESS, TO RECONCILE THOSE IN CONFLICT, AND TO SAFEGUARD THE EARTH.

Reflections

Our shared Christian faith underpins the unity of the churches and agencies that come together in the Anglican Alliance.

Our Christian faith inspires us because we believe that we are all part of one global community, one creation in God’s image. We believe that the destruction of human dignity through poverty and powerlessness is damaging to the whole of creation. Rooted in this belief is our long tradition of giving and service.

This page explores the faith base of the Anglican Alliance and our mission in development, relief and advocacy, and provides resources for worship and reflection from around the Communion.

The Archbishop of Canterbury sets out a detailed theology for development which you can download, along with other theological materials.

See also the Anglican Alliance prayers for people of four corners of the world. This embodies our mission to bring together people across the Anglican Communion to build a world free of poverty and injustice.

And you can download Bible Studies and prayers for use in church or schools or at home. You will find reflections on the main areas that our partners have told us really matter.

We have a special prayer for the Anglican Alliance.
